Kaitlyn Eriksson

Owner and garden designer

A small firm, six of us, doing the design, the planting and the tree care ourselves.

Kaitlyn started the firm to design gardens that work in the wind, not only in the photo. She walks every lot before a plan is drawn, picks the plants, and is on site for the first planting day. When a plant fails, she wants to know why before anyone buys another.

What she designs

  • Coastal and windward gardens
  • Lanai, courtyard and podium planting
  • Native and hardy plant palettes

License

  • Hawaii landscaping contractor license, with the board lookup linked in the footer

How we work

We explain the cut before we make it

Most of what goes wrong in a coastal garden goes wrong in the first year, so we are careful at the start.

We plant small, stake low, and thin trees instead of topping them. The estimate is written, area by area, so you know what each line pays for.

  • A walk-through before a plan is drawn

  • A written estimate before any work starts

  • Notes after each care visit

  • The same crew from plan to planting

The crew leads

People you will meet

  • Shigeru Arakaki

    Planting and construction lead

Lays out every bed in pots first, so you see the spacing before a hole is dug. Runs the planting crew.

  • Ramil Domingo

    Palm and tree lead

Our climber. Explains each cut before he makes it, and leaves a tree thinned, not topped.

  • Marilou Dizon

    Office and scheduling

Books the walk-throughs, sends the written estimates, and tells you the new day when wind or rain moves a visit.
